In the fine evening at Maksimir, GNK Dinamo first squad put a classy performance against Istra 1961. Dinamo recorded the first league victory in the new season, and also reached milestone - 600th league win in Croatian First division!

Head coach Nenad Bjelica decided to start the match with five changes in comparison to the last match against Israeli Hapoel Beer-Sheva (2-2). The 'Plavi' took the lead after 12 minutes when Hajrovic's cross found Gavranovic who headers the ball into the net. In the dying minutes of the first half, Gavranovic and Leovac one-two ended with a goal in the net - Leovac doubled the score and recorded his first goal in Dinamo shirt. 

At the beginning of the second half, Dinamo scored another goal. Hajrovic cross into the box, and Gavranovic scored a brilliant backheel goal.
