Dinamo lost the game to Split at Park mladeži and suffered second league defeat of the season. Modri dominated the game, especially in the second half, but Split managed to keep their lead till the end of the game.
Few days after a tough game against PSG in Paris Dinamo came to another hard away game in Split. Coach Ante Čačić decided to play with a similar team like the one is Paris with the exception that Dinamo played more offensive against Zoran Vulić side; with two strikers Duje Čop and Fatos Beqiraj from the first minute.
After only six minutes, Dinamo had the best chance of the game when Beqiraj did all the work himself and placed a fierce shot to the left hand corner but the post saved Split. Who knows what would the game looked like if this shot ended in the back of the net but unfortunately - soon Split took the lead. Youngster Rebić had a nice chance in the 20th minute but his shot ended over the goal; the next one didn't.
After 26 minutes of play defender Ante Puljić made a rookie mistake, Rebić stole the ball and easily passed Kelava to make it, as it later proved, the final 1:0. Dinamo attacked, Modri had couple of chances but the home defense, with Ivica Križanac as the main man, defended calmly.
Coach Čačić made couple of changes during half time, striker Rukavina replaced centre back Puljić and Ademi entered the pitch for Calello. Despite playing with three strikers and dominating, Split had the best chance of the second half. Marčić made a nice run and it was Rebić once again who escaped Dinamo's defensive line but Kelava made a fantastic save.
Home players spent most of the last 20 minutes on the ground and the medical team was on the pitch but given the fact they had the lead against defending champions - that's not something unusual.
Dinamo suffered second league defeat of the season and now the players have the time to rest until next Saturday and the home game against Zadar, the same team the knocked Dinamo out of the Cup competition.
