Badelj leading in caps and minutes, Sammir best scorer

Season 2010./2011. is officially over and is a great time for final recap. This season was really great for all Dinamo supporters: the club won three domestic trophies (Supercup, championship and national Cup) and played in Europa league group stage. After a successfull season like this one, it's interesting to take a closer look at the numbers. Which player spent most minutes on the pitch? Who has the most capps and who is the best goal scorer? Let's take a look...

Midfielder Milan Badelj spent most minutes in the game and he is the player with most caps in national championship. Versatile Dinamo midfielder played in 29 of 30 games in First HNL which makes him the leader in minutes spent in the game: 2306. Interestingly, Badelj's advantage over Leandro Cufre is just little more than 10 minutes (2295) even though midfielder played in three matches more than the Argentinian. The secret is in the fact that Cufre played the whole 90 minutes in 25 of his 26 caps which took him high in most minutes list.

If we take a look at the goal scorers list, ofensive midfielder Sammir is on the top with 10 goals in First HNL. Brazilian playmaker had an excellent autumn and scored all ten of his goals in the first part of the season; the last one against Inter on 30. of October. Injuries stopped Sammir in spring and he stayed on his ten goals. Striker Fatos Beqiraj scored 8 goals and Badelj is the third club goal scorer with six goals.

Great Portuguese centre back Tonel is the owner of an really praiseworthy fact - he played all of his matches from the beginning till the end of the game. Tonel started 22 matches and played the whole 90 minutes in just as many. This category is usually reserved for goalkeepers but Ivan Kelava didn't start the season as first goalie and he started his great season after 65 minutes on Poljud against Hajduk Split when Filip Lončarić left the picth because of an injury.

Interesting thing is - Dinamo Zagreb captains. Five players have worn the captain band this season: now retired Tomislav Butina and defender Leandro Cufre once, Sammir twice, Milan Badelj 12 and Igor Bišćan 14 times. Captain Bišćan was injured in the spring part of the season and that is the reason why vice-captain Badelj came "so close".

Dinamo players and supporters can also be proud on the fact that Dinamo is the winner of "fair-play" award. In the season 2010./2011. Dinamo hasn't received a red card and there isn't a player with more than four yellow cards.

Together with three domestic trophies, this is just another proof of total Dinamo dominance in Croatia.

Copied!
