Coach Kovačević and Mišić: We dominated and deserved at least that one point

From the first minute, we positioned ourselves as favorites, dominated the entire match, but we conceded a goal from a set piece, said Dinamo's coach Mario Kovačević immediately after the draw away against Malmö where the Zagreb team secured a point deep into stoppage time.

– Malmö didn't surprise us in any way. As I said, we positioned ourselves as favorites, but we conceded a goal in the only way we could – from a set piece. We knew they were not bad in set pieces. We managed to prevent their attempts at quick counterattacks. Unfortunately, despite our dominance, we failed to take the lead and, worst of all, conceded a goal in the last minute of the first half. We started the second half poorly, they had one chance, but after that we dominated, searched for a solution, changed, and I think we deserved at least that one point.
Hats off to the boys, they didn't give up until the end, we must be satisfied with every point in Europe - added coach Kovačević.

Malmö played most of the game defensively, and Dinamo earned a point thanks to the players from the bench.

- I am happy when we come to Malmö and from the beginning we see that we are a better, superior team, that we are imposing ourselves. But I say, we need to be better in finishing actions. In the first half, we broke through them many times, but we need to be more decisive in their 16 meters. Of course, we must be careful not to concede a goal in any way. We had to prevent that goal from a set piece. Sometimes the game goes in the wrong direction. I have to congratulate Malmö's team as well, they fought We fought hard... But we managed to secure a point with the support of our fans who cheered us on until the last minute.
We believed in that goal.

Dinamo is still undefeated in the Europa League after the first three rounds.
– I am pleased with that, of course, we played against three different opponents, three different styles of football and we dominated and were better against all three. That's how we need to continue, but also try to improve some things. In the upcoming matches, we will be even better – added coach Kovačević.

– How everything unfolded, we have to be satisfied. We concede a goal from a set piece in the last minute of the first half... We knew they were dangerous from set pieces, they played in a low block, they tried something on the counter, we prevented that well. Everyone was in their own 16 meters, we couldn't break through that block with passes in the middle or to the forwards, we simply had to send the ball to the wings and crosses. And they are good at that, tall, and we didn't succeed  Threaten from those insertions. We have five more matches in the league phase ahead of us, we are happy that we have not lost, let's go on.
