Coach Kovačević: I believe that in the remaining two matches we can achieve the maximum and advance further

Congratulations to Betis on their victory, I can't say they surprised us with anything, we knew they were a great team, we were prepared, it was better than against Lille, but those seven, eight minutes of a "black hole" cost us, highlighted Dinamo's coach Mario Kovačević immediately after the match against Betis in which the Spaniards won 3-1 in the 6th round of the Europa League.

– We know how good they are, but we practically scored two goals for ourselves, and then it's hard to get back into the game against such opponents.

There are two more matches left in the league phase of the competition, both in January – the Blues will host the Romanian FCSB, former Steaua, and then visit the Danish Midtjylland.

- The start of our European season was great, we won seven points in the first three games, but then came the defeats. However, we believe that in these two games we can get the maximum and advance to the second round.

Dinamo played well in the first twenty minutes, and then Betis took control of the game.

- As soon as you give them a little space, they start playing, we knew they were good at making triangles, but I say, we scored the first goal ourselves. After that, it was difficult. Unfortunately, the third goal also came from our mistake. In the second half, we were much better, had chances to score another goal. We had the most problems when we had the ball, they pressed us, they are most dangerous when you have the ball... We did everything to come out through passes, we succeeded a few times, but it's not easy, they are fast, and when such mistakes lead to conceding goals... Nevertheless, I am happy about the second half, we did not hang our heads, and there are many young players for whom these are their first European matches. They are not used to playing every three, four days. I hope we will learn something from all of this. I am sorry for our fans, apparently we have to go through all of this to get better. The good thing is that there is still...

We have a chance to advance to the next round.

The Blues started the game well, but then mishaps followed.

- Until the 20th minute we were good, after that Betis took over the game, their quality was decisive, they imposed themselves, they are more lively, faster. It's hard to commit fouls because they are so fast. But if we can play like we did in the first 20 minutes and in the second half, if we can stretch that performance to the full 90 minutes, then we will be able to play against such opponents.

This is Dinamo's seventh loss of the season.

- That is definitely too much for me and for a club like Dinamo. When we started this, we knew it wouldn't be easy. I'm sorry that we lost games in the championship that we shouldn't have. If we learn something from this in Europe, it will be good. We need one or two more selections to be a real team and to be able to play against opponents like Betis - added coach Kovačević.
