Coach Kovačević: We can't wait for the match in Velika Gorica, we need to improve our impression

Four days after the episode in Lille, the Dinamo footballers have the opportunity to improve their impression and return to the championship track to continue their hunt for the top of the table. The Blues will play away against "old debtor" Gorica on Monday at 6 pm in the 15th round of the SuperSport HNL. The team from Velika Gorica has won against their Dinamo rival twice in a row: at the end of last season, they won 1-0 in Velika Gorica, and in the first part of the current competitive year, they also secured points by winning 2-1 in Maksimir.

Dinamo enters this match after three consecutive games in three different competitions: they defeated Karlovac 7-0 in the cup match, then beat Varaždin 3-1 in the championship clash, while Lille was better with 4-0 in the Europa League match.

"I believe that we will continue to play as we did in the match against Varaždin, that is our desire and guideline. We are aware that it was not good in Lille, but we are waiting for this match to improve our impression," emphasized Dinamo's coach Mario Kovačević.

"What is a bigger challenge for you at this moment, after the episode in Lille, psychological or physical preparation of the players?"

"When we have a busy schedule of matches, we don't have much time for tactical preparation. We are physically ready, we have had good training sessions, the guys are doing great... I say, we are prepared for Gorica, I believe we are ready both physically and psychologically."

Gorica's team is currently in a sort of positive streak - they have linked three matches without a defeat.

- Yes, they are in good form, we felt on our own skin how good they can be. Unfortunately, we lost the match in Maksimir, but we will want to repay them for that defeat. They are a quality team, playing good and interesting football, we have to be at our best to win, I believe it will be so.

What squad are you taking to Velika Gorica, who is out of action besides the injured Moris Valinčić?

- We won't be able to count on Mateo Lisica either, he has a high temperature. I believe everyone else will be ready, we can't wait for the match.
