After youngster Ante Ćorić gave statements about wanting to leave the club executive president Zdravko Mamić has sent a clear message to the player and his family that Ćorić has a future in Dinamo and the club wants him to stay for a long time.
- We want for Ante Ćorić to stay in Dinamo for several years, to wear Dinamo shirt with pride, win games and titles to make his and our fans dreams come true. We were shocked to hear what happened because Ante is of the most talented players who ever played here and we want to do the best for him and the club. Dinamo has done so much for him and his family in the past and will continue to do so. First time I will see Ante I will give him a huge hug and have a nice talk with him.
- I wish to call a wonderful and honest boy that Ante sure is, his family and our coaching staff to make decisions that are in the interest of everybody. We want Ante to built his career here, bring a lot of joy to our fans and then make an exquisite career abroad.
Mr. Mamić spoke about how many games Ćorić played in the last couple of seasons: - With our coach Zoran Mamić, in the last two years, Ante made a debut with being just 16 years in season 13/14 and then played 33 games in season 14/15 in all three competitions. This year, with not even half of season behind us, Ante played in 19 games which is all together almost 60 matches; more than plenty for such a young player.
Dinamo doesn't have a "plan B scenario": - He will train with the team today and it's up to him to earn his place in the team. Apology? First of all he has to apologize to himself because he knows the special treatment he has from the fans and he must earn their trust again – said Mr. Mamić and concluded:
- Let's look at this like a bad day in the office... Of course, this is not good and this will remain forever but I don't want to believe in anything else except Ante staying in Dinamo for a long time. He will pay the fine and tomorrow is a new day.
