Croatia U-17 secured a place in the World Cup quarterfinals!

Dario Bašić's team has shown a great play, scored two goals against Germany and deservedly became one of eight best national teams in the world. Croatia took the lead in the 18th minute when Moro scored for 1:0. Germany, European championships runner-up, couldn't find a good way to endanger our goalkeeper who had some great saves during the first half. After a short break Croatia was trying to score in order to increase the advantage, but there wasn't goals in the regular time. Luckily, great Croatia's chances in the last few minutes ended with a deserved celebration. Delić found Lovren who precisely scored for 2:0 and a great win.

We are proud of the fact that there were 10 Dinamo players in the first eleven and two players entered the game as substitutes. Also, Croatia scored 7 goals till now and six of them were scored by Dinamo players: Moro and Majić scored twice, while scorers during the group stage and round of 16 were Brekalo and Lovren also.

Congratulations to national team players and coaching staff!

I congratulate my teammates for what is surely the best game of their lives. We have given all we can and stuck with the game plan. Moreover, we are immediately starting to focus at Mali encounter. We will strive for the victory once more - said Adrian Šemper

We are thrilled. We were fighting like lions. Now we turn to Mali i we will try to achieve something big at the World Cup. If we can go all the way, why not? - added Josip Brekalo
