Dinamo first team played its first Cup match this season. As a part of Round 1/16, the 'Modri' visited Croatian lower division side NK Borac from Imriovec and won 6-0. 

Head coach Mario Cvitanović gave chances to players which played fewer games this season, with formation 4-1-4-1. Defender Dino Perić played his first minutes this season, while three B squad players played with the first team. Right back Filip Uremović, left winger Endri Cekici and right winger Alen Jurilj. 

Dinamo took the lead after two minutes of play when Armin Hodžić scored his forth goal this season. Until the end of the match, right winger Ivan Fiolić netted twice, Spaniard Dani Olmo scored once, while Alen Jurilj had a dream debut, scoring two goals in two minutes. 

Next match is scheduled for Sunday, September 24, against Istra 1961.
