In a pleasant atmosphere in Predavec, a place near Bjelovar, the players of Dinamo from Maksimir defeated their host, also named Dinamo, with a score of 6:0 and secured a spot in the round of 16 of the SuperSport Croatian Cup. It was a match in which the Slovenian midfielder Miha Zajc made his first official appearance for the team, and in which Mounsef Bakrar scored a "hat-trick" while Sandro Kulenović added two goals.
The home goalkeeper Dinko Gavranović once again stopped the attempt of Kulenović at the opening of the match, and in the next action, he punched the ball out of the net after a powerful shot by Zajc. Furthermore, the home team also tried, Pavao Ćibarić took a left-footed shot from 18 meters from the left, and the goalkeeper of Maksimir, Ivan Filipović, also brilliantly pushed the ball out for a corner.
The lively Zajc hit the ball from about twenty meters in the 20th minute, with the ball grazing the crossbar, and three minutes later he initiated a goal for the lead. He crossed from a free kick from the right side, and Kevin Theophile headed it into the net at the "far post."
A new goal appeared at the end of the first half, Luka Stojković was building the attack on the left side, and Kulenović signaled to him with his hand where to put the ball. The young midfielder from Maksimir did just that, aimed perfectly to the right side, and Kulenović stuck his leg in the air and hit the opposite "small net."
At the start of the second half, Bakrar briefly chipped the ball into the penalty area for Stojković, who headed it back to him, and the Algerian forward fiercely launched it under the crossbar. It was the first of Bakrar's three consecutive goals. In the meantime, the home team's goalpost was rattled twice. In both cases, Stojković delivered the ball, with Kulenović hitting the post first, followed by Niko Galešić in the next play.
In the 47th minute, the fourth goal appeared. Young, energetic Cardoso Varela won the ball in the middle of the field and remained lying after a foul. The referee allowed advantage, Zajc led the attack, played left to Bruno Goda, who crossed into the penalty area, where Bakrar was and calmly diverted it into the goal.
The last two goals appeared within a minute and a half. Gabriel Vidović in the 72nd minute pressed the opponent's defense, skillfully took the ball in the penalty area, played it back to Bakrar who just put his foot at the top of the penalty area and placed the ball into the net.
Shortly thereafter, Kulenović, while leading 5-0, pressed the goalkeeper as he calmly prepared to kick the ball into the field. However, the ball bounced awkwardly, and Kulenović seized the opportunity, placing his foot to deflect the ball into the net.
At the end of the match, the referee sent off Marko Soldo for a foul on Krešimir Prskalo in the middle of the field.
