UECL draw

Dinamo and PAOK in battle for quarterfinals

Dinamo's football players will fight for a place in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa Conference League against the Greek team PAOK. The draw for the round of 16 was held on Friday in Swiss Nyon, determining that the first match will take place on March 7th in Zagreb, with the return leg a week later in Thessaloniki.

Dinamo drew their opponent from the "pot" in which the winners of each of the eight groups from the autumn part of the competition were placed. All of them secured a direct placement in the round of 16 and did not have to fight through the play-off knockout phase. In Dinamo's group of non-seeds were the teams that secured passage on Thursday in the return matches of the play-off, or round of 16. The winner of these two matches will advance to the quarterfinals scheduled for mid-April.

– After the match against Betis, I said that it doesn't matter who we draw in the draw, they are all very good teams. It is clear that we will analyze PAOK well, prepare well to play two real matches and try to advance. The first match is in front of our fans, which is good, we will try to be as good as possible to gain an advantage before the return leg in Thessaloniki. PAOK played against our representative, Hajduk, at the beginning of the season, we will also watch those matches as well as the more recent ones. We will prepare as best as we can. We know that a heated atmosphere awaits us there, but our players are accustomed to playing in such an environment – The Dinamo coach Sergej Jakirović highlighted.
