With two skillful moves in the middle of the first and at the start of the second half, Gorica's footballers shook Dinamo's net twice, the Blues aggressively went for a turnaround in the continuation of the match, and just when they reduced the lead, they were left with one player less after the exclusion of Luka Stojković... In such a scenario, Gorica recorded their first away victory against Dinamo in history. In the 6th round of the SuperSport HNL, the team from Velika Gorica celebrated with a 2:1 win.

In the 10th minute, Filip Čuić shot from the edge of the penalty area, and Ivan Nevistić managed to stop the ball. The guests took the lead in the 21st minute, Žan Trontelj on the left side won the ball momentarily taken from him by Sergi Dominguez, then skillfully sent a short pass to the right where Iker Pozo was located and calmly sent the ball into the opposite lower corner from 14 meters.

Practically in the next attack on the other side of the field, Moris Valinčić elegantly played a right-wing pass to the left into the penalty area, Stojković headed it down, but goalkeeper Davor Matijaš intervened.

Soon after, Ognjen Bakić also tried his luck, finding himself alone on the left side in a counterattack, taking a shot from the edge of the penalty area, but Nevistić managed to cushion the impact. In the 32nd minute, Stojković delivered a free kick from the right side, the ball bounced in the crowded box to the top of the six-yard box. There, Dejan Ljubičić was diving for the ball, which was just a tad faster to be reached, and then Josip Mišić from the left side hit the outer part of the net in the continuation of the play.

The guests threatened in the 36th minute, Čuić crossed from the left, and Jurica Pršir headed the ball just over the goal from the top of the penalty area.

At the very beginning of the second half, the guests increased their lead. Čuić sprinted down the left side, played a sharp low pass at 17 meters where Trontelj ran onto it and with his left foot hit the bottom corner of the goal.

Mišić intercepted the action on the opponent's half four minutes later, played Cardosa Varela who sent it low into the middle, but Mounsef Bakrar didn't connect well with the ball during the swing.

Dinamo "returned to the game" in the 57th minute. While Stojković was preparing to take a corner kick, a substitution was taking place with Sandro Kulenović coming off the bench. When the referee signaled to continue play, Stojković crossed the ball, and it was precisely Kulenović who, in his first touch after a few seconds on the field, managed to score. He ran to the near post and headed the ball into the net while falling.

Just as the Blues were starting their hunt for a comeback, Stojković received a red card. He was on his own half, fighting for the ball, not far from the center of the field, when he kicked Pršir who had rushed up behind him. He hit him in the chest, and after reviewing the VAR, the referee deemed it a direct sending off.

In the 78th minute, Varela played a great return pass, and Gabriel Vidović, instead of a first-time shot, decided to control the ball and lost it. Dominguez took a shot from 18 meters from the right just above the crossbar in the 85th minute. In the referee's added time, Elvir Duraković aimed from 20 meters on the right in a counterattack, but Nevistić cleared it for a corner. In the final seconds, Varela crossed, Dominguez tried a header, but it went straight to the goalkeeper.
