Dinamo and Osijek played a goalless draw in the first leg of the Cup final. Modri were a better side, dominated the game and created several good chances but home defense endured all the attacks and kept a clean sheet.
Great atmosphere, music and entartainment welcomed Dinamo and Osijek at Gradski vrt before the start of the game. More than 8000 people almost saw the dream beginning of the game when Osijek had a great chance after just 20 seconds. Maglica was alone in the box, placed a nice shot but Kelava made an excellent save and kept the ball away from his net.
Osijek started the game very good but as the time went on Dinamo took the ball and play. Modri had their first great chance after 19 minutes when Krstanović found Sammir who got rid of one defender but Vrgoč made a great tackle and saved a certain goal. Dinamo pressed more and more and the next threat come when Šimunić tried his shot after a corner kick but once again the ball was stopped on it's way towards the goal.
In the second half, the same story. Dinamo was a better side and after seven minutes of play came an excellent chance. Captain Badelj made a brilliant pass to Tomečak who escaped the home team defensive line and shot beside the post. Couple of minutes later Tomečak made another attempt, this time a long distance shot, but once again the outcome was the same. Closest Dinamo came to victory was in the 63rd minute when Beqiraj placed a fierce shot to the upper left corner but it ended in the crossbar.
Dinamo tried from all the angles and positions but well organized Osijek managed to keep a clean sheet and will come to Zagreb with 0:0.
Of course, Dinamo is still the favourite in this clash and any home victory will bring Dinamo the Cup title.
