Dinamo was a better team than Split, dominated for most of the match but the only scorer was Franjić who secured Split three points.

Modri came to Split to play their third match in just six days and unfortunately suffered the second league loss in a row. Dinamo started the game good, dominated and pushed Split to their own half and had several nice chances in the first 20 minutes. Soudani's header from close range went over the goal in the 7th minute and just a minute later Modri had another great chance.

Šovšić won the ball deep in Split's half, got around Zagorac and made a nice back pass to Pjaca who placed a very good shot that was saved. Unfortunately, Modri didn't build up on that good start and that was pretty much it as far clear chances are concerned. On the other side, Split had one great chance and it was all they needed.

It was in the 38th minute when Vidović made a great pass over Dinamo's defensive line for Franjić who was one on one with Ježina and scored for the lead and it later proved three points. Bad things "come in twos" so couple of minutes later Soudani left the pitch following an injury and was replaced by Fernandes.

In the second half Modri tried with Hodžić and later Rog but the champions didn't have their day. Pivarić tried from a free kick, Pjaca from the edge of the box but there was no real chances. Modri had much more possession but when Machado's shot in the 93rd minute was saved by Zagorac it was obvious that Dinamo will return to Zagreb without any points.

Modri will stay third team of the league behind Rijeka and Hajduk and play their next game also away: at Olympiacos on Wednesday.

Copied!
