Dinamo opened the Croatian championship with a draw. Even though Sammir gave Dinamo the lead, defensively well organized Inter Zaprešić managed to get back in the game and earned a draw in Maksimir.
Modri started the home season opener with a few changes to the team that played a couple of days ago in Bulgaria. Coach Ante Čačić decided to put new players in each line: Puljić at the right back, Calello as defensive midfielder, Alispahić as attacking one and striker was Beqiraj.
Dinamo dominated the game from the beginning and had few changes but Inter's counter attacks were dangerous. Despite defensive Inter, it didn't took Dinamo a lot of time to take the lead. After only 16 minutes Rukavina made a great pass to Sammir, he made a nice run to the box and scored a left footer for the lead.
Dinamo tried to get another one but Santini had a good game. Sammir made chances for Ibanez in the 19th minute and for Alispahić couple of minutes later but Inter saved his net. Dinamo's game was disturbed after half an hour when Alispahić had to leave the pitch because of an injury but Dinamo still dominated the play.
Both coaches didn't make subs during half time but after eight minutes of play - Inter got the equaliser. Kelava and Vida didn't understand one another, our goalkeeper rushed out and defender didn't catch the ball quite right so in the end Oršić got the ball and placed it in an open net; Inter equalized from "nothing".
Inter focused even more on defense after that while Dinamo created and missed opportunities. Even when Dinamo managed to get through crowded defense Santini was great. On couple occasions when Santini was helpless - Gulić was behind him and saved a certain goal. Almost every Dinamo player had his attempt but Inter managed to hold on to the draw.
