In the fine of Croatian Cup GNK Dinamo failed to win the title. At the Varaždin in front of the 9,000 spectators, The Modri lost 3-1 against Croatian champions HNK Rijeka. 

Rijeka took the lead after 24th minute with Marko Gavranović's fine strike. Before the end of the first half Dinamo managed to equalize with Spaniard Dani Olmo strike with a powerful effort. 

Only seconds into the second half, Rijeka once again took the lead with the second goal from Gavranovic. 

With this defeat, Dinamo finished season trophyless.
