GNK Dinamo came from a goal behind in Helsinki to secure a 2:1 victory in UEFA Champions league 3. qualifying round first leg against HJK. Thanks to an own goal by Rafinha and a magic touch by Sammir Dinamo neutralized Ring's first goal of the match.
The game at Sonera Stadium started like it was a friendly match and not an UEFA Champions league game which was very important for both clubs. HJK likes to play extremely offensive football and they managed to impose that kind of football to the Croatian champions. "Run and gun" football where Kelava on one side and Wallen on the other had a lot of job got HJK the lead.
Pukki, Ring and Bah produced several chances for HJK while Badelj and Leko threatened HJK's goal but the home side was the one who took the lead. In the 14th minute Bah's fine pass found Pukki who nicely went around Kelava and put the ball into the net for the lead. Home crowd was enthusiastic after the lead but the spirit in the stadium suddenly went down when Rafinha scored an own goal five minutes later.
Beqiraj put in a cross from the right side and Rafinha's strike ended in the back of the net. Of course, goal shocked the host team and Dinamo adopted to the artificial turf so Modri started to dominate the game.
At the beginning of the second half HJK once again speeded up the game and Kelava had to make a couple of saves but Dinamo's goalkeeper once again showed great skills. His save in the 67th minute when he stopped Sadik's attempt was really great. Coach Jurčić made a couple of substitutes so Rukavina and Kovačić entered the game and Dinamo started to create chances.
After a shot by Badelj and several crosses from Vrsaljko - Dinamo finally took the lead in the 77th minute. It was Rukavina whose excellent first touch pass found Sammir and he showed magic to put Dinamo in front. His run through HJK defense and shot that put the ball in the net were pure magic. Dinamo had a couple of chances till the end of the game but Wallen saved his team from conceiving once again.
Dinamo secured a big win in Helsinki and has a great opportunity of going to the play-off round of UEFA Champions league.
