On Tuesday Dinamo players started with their first training session in 2012. New coach Ante Čačić had a meeting with the players and then took the team to the training ground.
At 9 o'clock sharp all the players were in the locker room and waiting for the coach. After an introduction and a meeting, Čačić lead 24 players to Hitrec-Kacijan. The players ran for a while and then got the ball to play on two goals.
Coach Čačić had 24 players on training because defender Walid Atta has a fever and was sent home.
The playing ground was shortened, to half a pitch, and the game lasted 2 x 15 minutes. In the "markers" team were Lončarić, Vrsaljko, Vida, Šimunić, Ibanez, Calello, Badelj, Tomečak, Sammir, Rukavina and Beqiraj while the "blue" team were Kelava, Leko, Bišćan, Tonel, Pivarić, Pokrivač, Kovačić, Alispahić, Kramarić, Sylvestr and Krstanović; young Špehar played for both teams.
Both teams played in 4-2-3-1 formation and since it was the first training of the year - pace was very good. There were no goals: - Off course, it's way to early to make some serious conclusions but even today we saw that the players don't have the habit to shoot from outside; they tend to rather stretch the defense than to attack directly. We'll definitely work on that - said the coach after training.
