Dinamo won the Double and triumphally ended the successful season. In Vinkovci in front of eight thousand spectators Dinamo defeated arch rivals Hajduk Split 1-0 in Croatian Cup final. Striker Mario Gavranovic scored the winning goal after 55 minutes of play.
Dinamo head coach Nenad Bjelica decided for 4-1-4-1 formation and the team performed well, creating several chances in a process. Dinamo took the lead in 55th minute, when Hajduk's central defender Savvas lost the ball in a dangerous area, and Swiss striker Mario Gavranovic easily scored for a final score, 1-0!
After two years Dinamo returned Croatian Cup trophy to Maksimir and once again proved its domination and prestige in Croatian domestic football.
