Dinamo enrolled victories in all matches of Mladen Ramljak tournament's group stage (Dinamo - Real Betis 3:0, Dinamo - Dynamo Moscow 4:1, Dinamo - Espanyol 2:1) and placed in the tournament final. Dinamo's opponent was HNK Hajduk - the only team that achieved three victories in the group stage (except Dinamo).

Both teams entered the game highly motivated and had some great chances. After 10 minutes, mistake from Hajduk defense opened a great chance for Dinamo. After Halilović was knocked down in the penalty area, referee showed to the white point. Dinamo captain Jozo Šimunović scored for 1:0, placing even more pressure on Hajduk. Dinamo held a 1:0 lead until Miro Kovačić found himself in a great position and scored for 1:1. Few minutes after that Alen Deanović got second yellow card and he was dismissed from the field.
- Tournament was really interesting, all teams proved the quality and it was difficult to get to the final. Finally, we won against Hajduk in the final and I'm really happy with this victory - said Dinamo coach Igor Cvitanović.
Dinamo tried to score in the second half but Hajduk goalkeeper Tomić made a couple of great saves. Mikulić also had some great saves and saved some tough shots. All players were tired in the final match, it was not easy to play and win four games in four days. There was no winner in the regular time of the match so the winner was decided by penalties. It was 3:3 when Herdi Prenga shot for 4:3. Hajduk had the last chance to stay in the game, but Mikulić saved Bašić's penalty kick. With the final score 4:3 Dinamo won and celebrated his 9th Ramljak trophy.
