Dinamo played an excellent game against Zadar and got the fully deserved 5:0 victory. Beautiful day was opened when Dinamo's wonderkids, 18-year old Mateo Kovačić and 16-year old Alen Halilović, got the first two goals while Beqiraj, Pivarić and Krstanović added second half goals to conclude a great display.
Modri opened the game against Zadar with some style and it lasted the entire game. Dinamo was the dominant team who created chances from the first to the last minute and the only question was - how many of them will end with a goal? For the first time in his career, 16-year old Alen Halilović started the game for the first team and he certainly got the most of it when he scored a beautiful goal.
Before that, another talented youngster, Mateo Kovačić, had his moment. After only five minutes of play he got the rejected ball and volleyed it to the bottom corner; excellent move for his first season goal. Modri continued to threaten with long distance attempts from Sammir and Beqiraj before our striker had a great chance.
In the 20th minute Kovačić and Čop created a chance for Beqiraj whose shot ended in the post. Dinamo dominated the game, had almost all the possession and it was obvious Zadar can't cope with Croatian champions. When Modri finally got the second goal - it was really something. Halilović got the ball on the right side of the box and launched the left-footer to the upper far corner; a real masterpiece and his trademark goal.
Dinamo went to halftime with two goals advantage and in the last 20 minutes of the game - Modri scored another three. Before that 70th minute and the third goal Dinamo had several chances but Gluić saved nice attempts from Sammir and Čop. In the 70h minute it was game over in Maksimir. Pivarić made a nice run on the left flank, crossed to the middle where Beqiraj jumped and scored a beautiful header. Three minutes later, another nice play by Dinamo opened the space for Pivarić who rushed to the box and placed the ball in the net. Unfortunately for Zadar, Dinamo didn't stop until Krstanović made it 5:0 in the 78th minute.
Next game is on Wednesday, in the Champions league against Porto at Dragao stadium.
