Zagreb city derby was decided after only 8 minutes when Fatos Beqiraj scored, as later on proved, the winning goal. Dinamo was a much better side and even though Modri created many chances Igor Vidaković had a great night and managed to give his team a single goal defeat.

There was a lot of questions before this game because of the Champions league match Dinamo had in Amsterdam couple of days before. The game itself, off course the defeat too, had influence on the team but when the game started it was obvious that the reaction from the players is a positive one.

From the beginning of the game Dinamo took over the control of the ball and started creating chances so the first chance came after just 30 seconds when Krstanović's header went over the goal. Badelj tried his shot couple of minutes after that and in the 8. minute Dinamo took the lead. Krstanović had a nice run on the left side and found Beqiraj in the middle who's nice move gave Dinamo the winning goal.

An early lead gave Dinamo the needed self-confidence so Modri just kept on going. Dinamo created chance after chance but great Vidaković saved several attempts from Krstanović. The best save was the one in the 34. minute when he stopped Krstanović's header from just a couple of metres. Guests had only once threat in the first half but Frljužec's attempt when high over the goal.

In the second half Dinamo was still dominating the game but created less clear chances. Despite that, Krstanović was really eager to score but Vidaković was simply invincible. Dinamo had the best chance in the 72nd minute but when the ball ended in the side netting it was clear that Beqiraj's goal will be the only one.

Dinamo extended the lead to seven points and will go to the international break with a victory. The next game is against Split on 18th November.
