Early leadership by Blue opened the way to victory, McKenna and Dominguez scored for Dinamo for the first time

Dinamo furiously opened the "second quarter" of the league season, in less than 15 minutes of Saturday's match the blues, with a powerful and convincing performance in that period, shook the opponent's net twice and paved the way to victory... In the continuation of the match, there was not such intensity, in the meantime the guests managed to reduce the lead of the blues who eventually secured the points. Dinamo defeated Osijek 2-1 in the 10th round of the SuperSport HNL.

We will also remember the match because defenders Scott McKenna and Sergi Dominguez scored their first goals in Dinamo's jersey.

. They have somehow fit into a kind of "fun fact" of the duel between these teams: Osijek often scored goals against the team from Maksimir. For example, Dario Šimić and Dino Drpić scored the most goals in the Croatian Football League against the Osijek team. Current Dinamo defender Kevin Theophile scored his first goal for the Blues against Osijek, Dino Perić and Domagoj Vida were both double scorers in matches against the white-blues.

Zagreb took the lead already in the 3rd minute, Ismaël Bennacer crossed from the corner, and McKenna headed in for the lead. This goal was soon followed by another Dinamo defender: Dominguez initiated an attack and fiercely struck from 18 meters catching the opponent's goalkeeper off guard.

After that, Osijek players played more aggressively, trying to chase the score deficit. For example, in the 19th minute, Hrvoje Babec and Styopa Mkrtchyan lurked in the middle of Dinamo's penalty area, but they failed to control the ball properly.

Soon after, Bennacer tried his luck on the other side, hitting the ball strongly with his left foot from 18 meters on the left side, but the ball passed by the closer post.

The guests "got back into the game" in the 70th minute, young Šimun Mikolčić received the ball on the left side after a throw-in, approached the penalty area, took a precise shot from 17 meters and hit the near top corner. It was his first touch of the ball after entering the field a few seconds earlier from the bench.
