The European Club Association (ECA) and UEFA's foundation, the UEFA Foundation, jointly decided a few months ago on the financial support of football clubs that joined in helping refugees from Ukraine.
In accordance with this decision, in August they provided financial support to 15 football clubs, including GNK Dinamo, which through their activities worked to help children and adult refugees from Ukraine during the difficult times of war.
Dinamo and the Nema Foundation do not give up on several activities they carried out over a period of several months, such as transporting Ukrainian children from the Croatian border to Zagreb, accepting young football players from Shakhtar, basic necessities, food and clothing upon arrival in the Croatian metropolis, and accommodation in hotel at the stadium and participation in training.
Several young players stayed in Zagreb for a longer period of time and participate in the training processes within Dinamo's football school.
Clubs that applied for financial support were granted amounts of up to 50,000 Euros per club for activities and participation in humanitarian aid.
GNK Dinamo and its official foundation, Nema predaje Foundation, hereby express their thanks to the organizations ECA and UEFA Foundation for the support provided in the implementation of activities that tried to at least partially ease the difficult life situation that befell the residents of Ukraine, including young athletes and children in general , who had to leave their homeland in search of peace and protection of their lives.
Clubs that received financial support in the first round: AC Sparta Praha, Athletic Club, Celtic FC, FC Chikhura Sachkhere, FC Shakhtar Donetsk, FC Slovan Liberec, GNK Dinamo Zagreb, Heart of Midlothian FC, Legia Warszawa, Maccabi Haifa F.C., Nõmme Kalju FC, SJK Seinäjoki, SK Slavia Praha, SK Slovan Bratislava, Trabzonspor AŞ.
