Excellent display for 6:0 and +15

Dinamo played an excellent game which earned them a convincing 6:0 victory against Lokomotiva. Modri took the lead through Domagoj Vida after just 17 minutes and till halftime Sammir, Ante Rukavina and Ivan Tomečak made it 4:0. In the last 15 minutes Milan Badelj and Mehmed Alispahić scored to make it final 6:0.

Lokomotiva suffered a hard defeat in Maksimir and the main reason is great Dinamo but one of the reasons is - Lokomotiva. To be clear, Lokomotiva is in great form and came to Maksimir with a lot of self confidence after two consecutive wins and good six games that got them to the upper half of the table but still - Dinamo is the best Croatian team and certainly proved it again on Saturday.

As they said they would, Lokomotiva entered the game offensively but very soon they were punished; it took Dinamo just 17 minutes to take the lead. Ibanez made a nice cross from the set piece situation, Vida was the highest in the air and placed the ball in the corner; very good header from our centre back. Dinamo didn't slow down the pace after taking the lead: Modri created couple of chances and in the 31st minute doubled the lead.

Sammir received the short corner pass, got rid of two defenders and shot with a lot of power to place the ball in the net; another nice move by Dinamo for 2:0. It was Beqiraj who had the chance to make it three but even though his shot got over Picak it ended over the goal. Next chance ended with the goal. Vida won the ball on the right side, passed opposition player and made a great cross to the middle where he found Rukavina who didn't have a hard job of making it 3:0.

Dinamo was on fire and very soon Tomečak and Beqiraj scored another one but it was ruled out because our striker was in an offside position. Minute before half time Dinamo made it 4:0. Vrsaljko made an excellent cross from the right side and found Tomečak whose well placed header ended in the net. Lokomotiva tried to respond but Kelava made a nice save after Antolić hit the shot.

As expected, Dinamo slowed down in the second half but still kept domination and scored couple of goals. Lokomotiva tried to score a consolation goal but several attempts made by Marijo Šitum went beside or over the goal. In 78th minute of the game Dinamo made it 5:0. Substitute Krstanović made a nice run on the left side and found Badelj with a back ball who nicely placed the ball behind Picak. Couple of minutes later it was 6:0. Vrsaljko made a cross which Lokomotiva's defense punched out but only to Alispahić whose brilliant volley ended in the low corner of the goal.

Dinamo played and excellent game and stretched the lead to 15 points with six rounds to go. Next game is very soon on the 4th of April when Dinamo and Zagreb play first leg of the Cup semifinal.
