On Sunday evening Dinamo got another league victory and came a step closer to defending the title. Inter Zaprešić played a good first half and kept a clean sheet but Modri got two goals in the second 45 minutes and thanks to first Dinamo goal from Said Husejinović and Marcelo Brozović secured three points.
Dinamo entered the game against "relegation battleing" Inter with a lot of injury problems. Coach Jurčić couldn't count on Šimunić, Ibanez, Ademi, Leko and Čop so youngster Tin Jedvaj played as defensive midfielder with Šimunović and Addy as centre backs. Sammir, Brozović and Halilović played in the middle while two strikers were Beqiraj and Krstanović.
Inter opened the match very well, defended high on the Dinamo's half and ran a lot. Also, they had couple of long shot attempts by Bagarić and Kramarić but there was no real threat for Kelava. On the other side, Beqiraj had a nice run on the right side but his return pass came to nothing. In the end of the first half, Oršić also tried from a free kick but the ball ended in a corner kick.
Of course, coach Jurčić had to change something during the break because Modri didn't create any real chances so Husejinović and Rukavina entered the game and – changed it. After only couple of minutes of the pitch Husejinović was alone in front of Delač after a great pass by Brozović but he sent the ball over the net. In the 49th minute – he did much better. Pivarić made a run on the left side, got the ball to the box for Husejinović who brilliantly faked his shot, sent few Inter players to the ground and then placed it in the net; excellent move for his first Dinamo goal.
Inter tried to get back in the game, even came close in the 62nd minute when Oršić had a nice 20-metres shot saved by Kelava. Shortly after that, it was 2:0 and game over. It was Pivarić again who had a great run and found Brozović on the other post who had an easy job of also scoring his first goal for Croatian champions: 2:0 in the 66th minute of the game. Modri had couple of nice chances to extend the lead but Brozović and Pivarić didn't convert them.
Important thing happened five minutes before time when 16-year old Fran Brodić entered the game and became the youngest player in Dinamo history to do that. With 16 year, 3 months and 7 days he is couple of days younger than Alen Halilović who held the record so far.
Dinamo got another victory and extended the lead to 14 points with six game to be played. The next match is on Saturday, against Cibalia in Vinkovci.
