Dinamo played another very good game, dominated the whole 90 minutes and fully deserved their 2:1 victory which led them to the Cup final! Players showed a lot of character when they thanks to goal from Jerko Leko and Ivan Krstanović managed to come back from a 1:0 Zagreb lead.
Zagreb had a very good 1:1 result from the first leg in Maksimir which gave them the away goal lead but they didn't manage to keep that lead. Dinamo was a much better side in the second leg, dominated the game and fully deserved the victory.
Despite Modri being the ones that dominated and had more of the game - Zagreb took the lead. Dinamo had a great chance after just 3 minutes when Krstanović found Sylvestr but his shot from five metres was saved by Vidaković who fully deserved the man of the match title; especially for the home team.
Dinamo had many chances but Krstanović, Badelj and Sammir all had their attempts saved by excellent Vidaković. When it looked like it's only a matter of minute when will Dinamo take the lead - Zagreb did exactly that. In was in the 33rd minute when Abdurahimi launched a counter attack on the right side, his cross went over Vida and came to Medić who calmly placed the ball in the net.
Coach Ante Čačić went for "all or nothing" in the second half, substituted centre back Tonel and placed attacking midfielder Mehmed Alispahić from the 46th minute and - it worked. Dinamo pressed more and more and it was obvious that Vidaković can't save everything. Luckily, this time the feeling was right and in only 120 seconds Dinamo scored twice.
Leko won the ball, played a nice "one-two" with Krstanović and then chipped the ball over Vidaković for 1:1 in the 78th minute. Not long after that - it was 2:1. Sammir found Badelj whose pass came to Krstanović and he placed it to the right corner and Dinamo in the Cup final.
Dinamo had couple of chances till the end but it stayed 2:1 and Dinamo went to the final. The opponent will be known on Wednesday when Osijek and Cibalia play their second leg game; first game ended 3:0 for Osijek.
