Dinamo was a goal behind in city derby against Zagreb but with Šovšić and Pjaca entering the game Modri were a much better team and thanks to goals from Fernandes and Hodžić from the penalty spot they've earned the win and three points.
In terrible conditions with half of the pitch under water Modri entered the game good and Fernandes had "one on one" situation with Livaković but our goalkeeper on loan at Zagreb made first of many great saves. Dinamo was dominating but unfortunately the champions found themselves a goal behind after half an hour when Soudani lost the ball close to goal, Jurilj found Medić who had an easy job of scoring.
Livaković continued to save the "impossible" and coach Mamić decided to make some changes so Šovšić and Pjaca entered the game at halftime. In the second 45 minutes Dinamo was much better and these two players were unstoppable. Dinamo created chance after chances and in the 63rd minute Musa forwarded a corner to the far post where Fernandes scored the equalizer.
Three minutes later – Dinamo earned a penalty kick. It was Šovšić who was brought down in the box and Hoždić scored from the spot for the lead! Modri had plenty of chances to extend the lead but the result didn't change.
With this win Modri remained the league leaders and are waiting the derby game against Rijeka next Sunday at 17:00 in Maksimir.
