Dinamo played a great game in Varaždin, dominated the whole 90 minutes and thanks to nice goals secured another victory. Modri had number of chances in the first half but Sušac made several great saves; in the second half there was no stopping Dinamo players. Luis Ibanez opened the scoring with a nice long distance shot, Ivan Tomečak and Mehmed Alispahić made it 3:0 and Ivan Krstanović scored the fourth one.

Coach Ante Čačić said that he will made several changes to the squad that played in the last couple of games so Nikola Pokrivač, Ivan Tomečak and Jakub Sylvestr started the game. Many changes in the midfield placed youngster Mateo Kovačić at central midfielder and 17-year old showed that he can play that position too.

Dinamo pressed from the beginning of the match and very soon started to create chances. Modri had an excellent one in the 22nd minute when Sušac made couple of great saves. Tomečak made a cross from the right side to find Sylvestr in the box but his header from 4-5 metres went straight to Sušac. After the save ball came to Beqiraj who was alone couple of metres from Sušac but Varaždin goalkeeper made another brilliant save.

Both Beqiraj and Sylvestr hade more chances in the first half, Tomečak too but Sušac saved everything. Even though there was no goals in the first 45 minutes it was more than obvious that Varaždin couldn't hold the pressure. It took Dinamo only ten minutes of the second half to take the lead. Ibanez was given some space around 30 metres from Sušac, placed a fierce shot and it ended in the back of the net; Dinamo took the lead in 55th minute.

Dinamo didn't slow the pace after taking the lead; in fact, Modri came rushing forward to score another one and in happened five minutes later. Ibanez made a cross from the left side and Tomečak placed s great header to put the ball behind Sušac. It was pretty much game over in Varaždin because the home side didn't create a single chance but it was Dinamo who wanted and got more.

Pokrivač nearly scored the third one but he was unlucky and his great shot ended in the post. Pokrivač was unlucky but substitute Alispahić did the job in the 70th minute. Kovačić won the ball at the centre of the pitch, made a great run before passing to Alispahić who placed a nice shot to the left lower corner. After another good Pokrivač's attempt ended close to the goal but not in the net - Dinamo scored the fourth goal.

Alispahić made a nice pass to Krstanović who went beside rushed out Sušac and calmly placed the ball in the net.

Dinamo is now a step closer to defending the title and the next game is against Lokomotiva next Saturday.
