Great Rog for the deserved win

In the city derby against Lokomotiva thanks to two goals from Marko Rog and one from Ante Ćorić  Dinamo got the well deserved 3:1 win and another three points.

The game couldn't have started better for the defending champions when in the 5th minute Pivarić made a cross, Rog got the ball on 12-13 metres, got rid of his defender and placed the ball in the upper corner. Dinamo continued to push forward, Modri created several nice chances but Fernandes and Henriquez were stopped by great Zelenika.

On the other side, Marić had his attempt saved by Eduardo in the 11th minute and their next chance ended with an equaliser. Modri had a corner, Benković's header was cleared from the line and Lokosi launched a counter attack which was ended by Grezda's shot which deflected and ended in the net; it was in the 41st minute.

In the second half Modri started creating and missing chances from the start. Fernandes, Henriquez, Rog all had their attempts saved by brilliant Zelenika. In the 55th minute he made a leg save after Fernandes's header from 4 metres and less than 100 seconds later stopped Henriquez in "one on one" situation.

It was obvious that Zelenika can't save everything and Modri finally got the lead in the 72nd minute. Henriquez made a great pass to Rog, he escaped the defense, got around Zelenika and scored his second. Six minutes later it was game over. It was again Rog who did a lot of work, Pjaca found Ćorić and he scored a left footer from 13-14 metres.

With this win Dinamo is back on the second place with two points behind leader Rijeka and one point in front our next opponent – Hajduk. The derby is set on Saturday, 15:00, Maksimir.
