In the 4. round of the domestic league Dinamo got the 2:0 win against Zagreb in the city derby. Modri were the dominant team and deserved three points thanks to two goals from Armin Hodžić.
Between two Molde matches Modri played city derby against Zagreb, the team that caused the champions a lot of problems last season. As planned, Dinamo played the game against Zagreb with the different team from the one that played in the Champions league match against Norwegian champions.
Unfortunately, that didn't last long because after only three minutes Musa had to leave the pitch due to injury. Still, Modri dominated from the start of the game and it took them only 13 minutes to get the lead. Rog made a great run through the midfield, Ćorić's cross was poorly cleared by Ćubel and the ball came ideally to Hodžić who scored from close range. Modri continued to dominate and searched for the second goal which seemed as close as possible when Pinto's cross found Rog on the far post but his shoot ended beside the goal.
At the start of the second half it was Ademi who had a first chance but his shoot from the edge of the box hit the post. It was only a matter of time when will Dinamo score the second goal and it eventually happened in the 72nd minute. Pinto did a lot of work with winning the ball and passing it to Hodžić who went around Livaković and scored to make it 2:0 and – game over in Kranjčevićeva.
This was Dinamo's second league win in a row and with great display Modri travel to Norway to secure the Champions league play-off.
