After Dinamo became the ambassador of the ''Oživi me'' campaign in 2014, Modri gladly participated in this year's project.
The main goal of this national awareness campaign is to educate people on how to recognize warning signs of cardiac arrest and how to help in that situation. Last year the whole first team participated in this education and this year the club decided to educate younger players.
Dinamo U-15 team visited a meeting room in order to learn some facts about this campaign and about a cardiac arrest. First team players Ivo Pinto, Domagoj Antolić, Josip Pivarić and Marko Pjaca joined their younger colleagues on the introductory lecture and after that they all participated in the exercise on how to revive someone in case of a cardiac arrest.
The whole project is really important for all people and especially for the players who need to know how to react in this situation. Unfortunately, a cardiac arrest often happens to young people and players and by learning how to help someone there is a chance for saving someone's life.
- I am glad we all joined this project again. This is my second time I am participating and I am glad I have a chance to practice how to revive someone. I hope this exercise with a doll will be the only time I need to revive. I think all people should be informed about this procedure and details what to do when somebody got a cardiac arrest. It is important to educate young players and it is a great thing the club invited our U-15 team. I hope we will never be in that situation, but it is important to be prepared in order to help - said Marko Pjaca
Dinamo decided to support this project and to become the ambassador last year because the club is aware of the importance of this education. There are more and more situations when football players got a cardiac arrest and for some of them one minute without a appropriate help was unfortunately fatal.
- It is horrible that every year some players pass away after a cardiac arrest during the training session or during the match. Sometimes the abulance can't help even they react really fast. Maybe some things would end differently if some players were educated about how to help. We are happy we are participating and we are glad we got a chance to learn important things about how to save someone's life - explained Josip Pivarić
GNK Dinamo is proud because of the valuable ambassador title and we will continue with supporting this great project in future.
