Dinamo fully deserved and won three points against Cibalia. Modri played an excellent 45 minutes, had a large number of chances and eventually got the lead thanks to Luis Ibanez. In the second half, Dinamo was again a better side and Sammir made it 2:0.
Coach Krunoslav Jurčić announced that some players will be given a chance to rest so Šime Vrsaljko, Milan Badelj, Mehmed Alispahić and Fatos Beqiraj didn't start the game against Cibalia. On the other hand, their "subs" - Ivan Tomečak, Adrian Calello, Mateo Kovačić and Ante Rukavina had a great game and showed that Dinamo really had around 20 first team players.
Dinamo dominated the game from its beginning and it took ten minutes for Modri to create a first chance; it was Calello's shot that went beside the post. Krstanović was next but his two attempts didn't cause much trouble for Matković and then - Dinamo took the lead. Ibanez put in a cross but he didn't catch the ball quite right and it was going towards goalkeeper Matković who then made a big mistake. He slipped, missed the ball and it ended in the back of the net; it was in the 26th minute.
The lead didn't change anything on the pitch and it was Dinamo who continued to dominate. Krstanović missed a couple of chances and when he finally put the ball in the net - the goal was disallowed. Assistant referee's flag was up even though it looked like Dinamo's striker wasn't behind Cibalia's defensive line. Sammir had a great run in the end of the first half but Matković was on the right place.
In the second half Cibalia tried to get the equaliser. Kresinger's shot in the beginning of the second half showed that the guests want to play but very soon - Dinamo took the ball and controlled possession. The guests tried from set pieces situation but Kelava was concentrated and Lučić's strong shot was saved.
Dinamo had more of the game and when Pulić was sent off after a kick in Ibanez's face - Cibalia was to face very tough 25 minutes. Modri started to create chances and soon came the goal but referee Vučkov disallowed another goal. This time it was Sammir who scored from the free kick but Vučkov saw an offensive foul. Three minutes after that - Sammir scored again.
It was in the 86th minute when Rukavina left the ball to Sammir and his shot was to strong for Matković. Modri had a couple of chances after that but the final result was 2:0.
Dinamo fully deserved the victory and now the players focus in on the next game against HJK Helsinki on Wednesday.
