Dinamo played an excellent game, got 3:0 win against Split and regained their position as league leaders! Soudani opened the scoring after half an hour of play and Algerian international made a nice assist at the start of the second half for Machado's goal. To round up a great night Modri created a brilliant team move in the 89th minute which ended with Antolić's assist to the scorer Henriquez.
Modri started the game against league leader Split in 4-2-3-1 formation with a lot of, well deserved, respect. In fact, in the starting 10 minutes Split had two nice chances but Eduardo made couple of great saves to keep the clean sheet. Fortunately, after that Dinamo played much better, Modri completely dominated the pitch and it was only a question of how many goals will the champions score.
Youngster Ćorić had "one of his games" and was simply – perfect. 18-year old was all over the pitch, there was no way of stopping him and in the 28th minute his "moment of magic" gave Dinamo the lead. Ćorić and Obšivač were on the right side of the box and Ante's fine move sent Split defender to the wrong side, his cross found Soudani on the far post and his great header went to the far corner.
Modri continued to push forward but despite several nice chances there was no more goals in the first half. Unlucky for Split, after less than 100 seconds of play in the second – it was 2:0. Soudani made a nice run from the right side, his pass to Machado was perfect and Dinamo's number 10 placed a shot to the net; 2:0 in the 46th minute. If Split even had a chance to take something rather than s loss from Maksimir it went south when Eduardo and another nice save after an hour of play.
Despite two goal lead Dinamo pushed forward and Modri had numerous chances to extend the lead. Rog, Pinto and Fernandes all had their chances to score but the result stayed the same until one minute before time when – it was all worth it. Antolić and Fernandes played a brilliant "backheel one-two", captain made a nice ground cross to the box and Henriquez was in the middle to score; fantastic team move to round up a great display.
With a nice win and claiming the first place at the table Modri travel to Albania to play their first leg of the Champions league play-off against Skenderbeu.
