Letter from President Velimir Zajec

Dear members,

GNK Dinamo is facing a historic day. At the Club Assembly scheduled for August 19, 2025, we intend to fulfill the promise made to our members - the promise of a fully democratic Dinamo.

By voting on the new club Statute, for the first time in the history of our Club, elections will be completely democratic. The Executive Board will no longer appoint the majority of the Assembly members. From now on, each seat in the Assembly will be filled solely by the will of the members - according to the principle of "ONE MEMBER, ONE VOTE".

This is the fundamental electoral promise we made to our members last year when we won the elections, and it is now about to become our reality.

The new Statute introduces a guarantee of multi-party system. In case only one list runs in the elections, it will not fill all the seats in the Assembly. Five seats will remain reserved for commissioners with the highest individual votes, all in order to ensure diversity of opinions and democratic balance.

For the first time, the will of the majority of members will be directly linked to the person of the Club's president. The elected president will have a clear electoral legitimacy, but also an equally clear responsibility. His legitimacy comes from the stands, from the members, but he is also accountable to you. The decisions and work of the Club's president will be subject to transparent oversight mechanisms of other bodies. The president is accountable to the Assembly, and regular oversight is carried out by the Supervisory Board - an extended arm of the Assembly and the members who have entrusted it. This way, we will ensure managerial stability and clarity of responsibility.

It is particularly important for me to emphasize that the members had the right to participate in the creation of the Statute. More than 25% of the received amendments were accepted, either in full or partially. Among them is one of the key proposals: if no list wins more than 50% of the votes in the first round, a second round of elections will be held with the two lists that have the highest number of votes.

What is now before us is not just a legal document. This is a contract of trust between Dinamo and its members. This is the result of an almost generational struggle.

By adopting the new Statute, Dinamo finally becomes a Club where every vote counts equally.

Our strength has always been in unity, and now it will also be in democracy. Dinamo is the club of all its members, and this will no longer be just our feeling, it will be our Statute.

In order to fulfill the wishes of all true Dinamo fans and people who believe in the social values of democracy, a two-thirds support of the members of the GNK Dinamo Assembly is needed.

We believe and hope that unity and love for Dinamo will be stronger than any divisions, and that together we will write one of the most important chapters in the history of our Club.
