Maybe some of the following will help you:
He is only seven appearances away from his hundredth official match in Dinamo's jersey, and he is well on his way to soon reach that milestone. The experienced and energetic midfielder from Maksimir, Marko Rog, will play for the Blues in the spring half-season. Rog is under contract with the Italian club Cagliari, and he was on a one-year loan at Dinamo which expired at the beginning of the new year. In the meantime, Dinamo and Cagliari have agreed to extend the loan for an additional six months, meaning that he will immediately make himself available to coach Fabio Cannavaro and teammates for preparations in Turkey and wear the blue jersey at least until the summer, thus until the end of the current season.
The player joined Dinamo's team in February last year, still as an injured player, and played his comeback minutes in the blue jersey in a 1-0 victory against Hajduk away in the semi-finals of the Cup at the beginning of April, which was also his first appearance after almost a year of absence due to injury.
He won the double crown with the blues at the end of the season, playing 31 official matches in that comeback tenure, which means that, along with his debut episode at Maksimir, he currently stands at 93 appearances.
In the victory against Gorica with 2:1, he played for the first time in Dinamo with the captain's armband. In his first term at Maksimir, from summer 2015 to the end of August 2016, he participated in two championship titles and also won the Cup winner's trophy. With Dinamo in the fall of 2015, he played in the Champions League, and was also part of the team that a year later also secured a place in the group stage of the elite club competition. He moved from Zagreb to Napoli, and in January 2019 went on loan to Sevilla where he spent half a season. Since the summer of 2019, he has been with Cagliari, and since February of last year, he has been on loan at Dinamo.
Welcome back home, dear Marko, and we wish you many successful performances in the blue jersey!
