Mladen Ramljak Tournament

In an exciting match, Dinamo defeated Rapid, on Friday against Manchester for a spot in the final

With a brilliant performance, young Dinamo football players, under the guidance of coach Jerko Leko, secured their second consecutive victory at this year's Mladen Ramljak international junior tournament. After defeating Juventus 1-0 in the opening match of the tournament, this Friday they outplayed Vienna's Rapid in an interesting and attractive game. The Blues celebrated a 3-2 victory, and with Manchester United also securing a win against Juventus with a late goal in the second match of the same group, it means that both Dinamo and the English team have an equal number of points at the top of the table before the final round. Dinamo and Manchester United will face off on Saturday at 5:30 PM for a spot in Sunday's final.

In the matches of the second group, the situation is completely uncertain: all four teams have three points each after the first two rounds, and due to goal difference, Shakhtar is at the top, followed by Benfica, Bologna, and Paris Saint-Germain.

In the duel on Friday, the first one to shake was Dinamo's net. Edin Jakupi initiated the attack, shot sharply, goalkeeper Stipe Duvnjak deflected the ball, and Lukas Posch ran onto it and sent it into the goal. The guests' lead lasted only about ten minutes. Vuk Vlahović twisted from the right wing, and on the "far post," captain Marko Zebić headed it into the net.

The goals continued "in a rhythm of every ten minutes": after the equalizer in the 24th, a complete turnaround in the scoreline followed in the 34th minute. Leonardo Perković in a counterattack from the right side effectively sent the ball to Vlahović, who skillfully accepted it and placed it past the goalkeeper.

Perković was in a good opportunity and at the opening of the second half, he broke through alone in front of the Vienna goalkeeper who still managed to stop the ball. Soon after, on the other side, Samet Kurt took a shot from 18 meters and shook the crossbar.

Rapid found their way to the net in the 53rd minute. Elias Kolp, after a corner kick, skillfully received the ball in the penalty area and redirected it behind the goal line for a new equalizer.

Vlahović announced the victory of the Blues in the 56th minute, shooting from a free kick at an angle from about twenty meters, the ball flew over the "living wall", but goalkeeper Philip Hedl managed to pull it out from under the crossbar.

Zagreb secured their third, and this time an unreachable lead, in the 63rd minute. Perković sprinted on a counterattack down the right side and with a powerful shot torpedoed the ball under the crossbar.
