Once Blue, Forever Blue

There are loves that last forever.
There are emotions that do not fade with the years, moments we recount for generations. There are players whose magical moments we remember even decades later, and goals that were described in words but had to be experienced to be truly understood.

For that very reason, GNK Dinamo is organizing “Once Blue, Forever Blue”, a fan gathering for club members over the age of 65. On Friday, November 7th, at 4 PM, beneath the west stand of Maksimir Stadium, we will welcome our long-time supporters who will have the opportunity to share their stories connected to the club. With this event, we want to nurture the bond that GNK Dinamo has built—and continues to build—with those who have given their youth, love, and passion to the club.

We wish, at least in a small way, to give something back—to give them the chance to relive their memories.
This year, GNK Dinamo counts 3,192 club members over the age of 65, an increase of 2,257 members compared to 2024. This is proof that Dinamo lives on in the hearts of many, and that love for the club does not fade over time.

The gathering will take place under the west stand of Maksimir Stadium, a place filled with countless stories and memories cherished by generations of Dinamo supporters. The event will also be joined by those who helped create those memories—club legends, the authors of some of Dinamo’s most important victories, both on and off the pitch. They will come together to share anecdotes from their years spent with the club.

A special treat: our partner Franck will be offering everyone a warm cup of coffee throughout the event—because some stories are best told over a good cup of coffee.

We invite all participants to bring along their memorabilia—those cherished items that still bring back memories after all these years. Sometimes, small things mean a lot. Bring your piece of Dinamo history and get a chance to share the story behind it, surrounded by fellow Blues—surrounded by Dinamo fans, just like in the old days.

Some stories are simply too important not to be passed down from generation to generation—like the two-legged clash with Leeds United in 1967, the 1981/82 championship title, Valentine’s Day 2000, and many more. That’s why we encourage you to bring a piece of memorabilia in one hand, and your grandchildren in the other—take them to Maksimir for an unforgettable afternoon of learning about the club we all love. Let them experience the youth of their grandparents and see what supporting the Blues looked like decades ago.

Entry to the stadium and participation in the gathering will be available only to persons over 65 and their grandchildren who are club members.
Those who wish to participate but are not yet members can join the club on Friday at the Maksimir Fan Shop and then attend the event. Let’s show that the Blue heart still beats proudly!
