Dinamo's talented left winger, 17-year-old Patrik Horvat, has signed a professional contract with Dinamo.
Horvat is a Croatian youth national team player, a member of Dinamo's youth team that reached the knockout stage of the UEFA Youth League last season, UEFA's Champions League for young players, and previously won the international junior tournament Mladen Ramljak by defeating Manchester United in the final, bringing the trophy back to Dinamo's shelves after nine years.
Horvat just turned 17 in May, and although he still belongs to the youth category, he played for Dinamo's juniors last season. He was born on May 10, 2008, in Zagreb, and took his first steps in football at a preschool age in Mladost from Donji Dragonožec, joining Dinamo's academy at the age of seven, where he progressed through all age groups.
Primarily covering the role of left winger, but equally capable of operating on the right side when needed. Last season, he shone with the junior team on the international stage. He stood out with a goal in the victory against Monaco with a score of 1:0 in the UEFA Youth League, also scored in the draw against Slovan Bratislava, 2:2, and provided an assist in the win against Celtic with a score of 2:1, securing their place in the knockout phase where they were narrowly stopped by Barcelona on their home turf, only through better penalty shootout performance.
Meanwhile, he also made his debut for the first team by playing a total of four friendly matches. He debuted during last summer's preparations when the Blues defeated Sofia's CSKA 1948 in Bad Radkersburg, Austria with a score of 6:2, with Horvat playing the second 45 minutes and introducing himself with an assist and a goal.
