Petev: Our project is to create competitive club in european competitions

The day after clubs' Executive Board decided to extend a contract with head coach Ivaylo Petev and appoint Romeo Jozak as a new sports director, a press conference was held at Maksimir. Club chief executive officer Tomislav Svetina introduced to the press Mr. Ivaylo Petev and Dr. Romeo Jozak.

"We decided to extend the contract with head coach Petev to show our appreciation for his work done in the last couple of months. He absolutely justified our trust and managed to return harmony to the first team. We also wanted to show that project Dinamo functions on that basis and the head coach is a key factor for a club's project. Regarding the appointment of Dr. Jozak, he has built a basis of success our youth academy accomplished in the last decade and became one of top football academies in Europe. With his work and energy I'm confident we'll make a step further in sports segment", said Tomislav Svetina.

41-year-old Bulgarian tactician signed a new three-year contract and described it as: "Today is a special day for the club, we all know what happened exactly 17 years ago on this day.Therefore, I'm grateful and satisfied to stay in Zagreb. I have one goal - to success. Our project is to create Dinamo that will be competitive in European continental competitions."

Romeo Jozak returns to Dinamo after four years post as Technical director of Croatian Football Federation (CFF). "This moment is the biggest moment of my professional career. This is an honor, this job is a privilege. In CFF I was representing the whole country, however, there is only one love in my heart - and it's this club. I'll give my 200% for Dinamo!"
