Dinamo is in the 3. qualifying round of the Champions league! Modri played a very good game in Luxembourg and with two first half goals from Marko Pjaca secured the win with Marko Rog scoring his debut goal in the second half for the 3:0 win. In the 3. qualifying round Modri will play against Norwegian champions Molde.
Dinamo players are used to playing games "they must win" and most of the times – they do. It was the same in Luxembourg where Modri were up to the task, did their job professionally and from the start of the game were the dominant side. With three centre backs and Pjaca as offensive midfielder in front of Ademi and Machado Dinamo dominated from the start of the game.
After several nice chances in the 29th minute Modri took the lead. Machado made a pass instead of a cross from a free kick, Pjaca was at the right place and placed a shot in the bottom corner. Of course, with this goal Dinamo took the lead on aggregate too so it was scored at the right time. Despite that Modri continued to dominate and before half time Pjaca made it 2:0.
This time Marko did most of the job himself, got rid of several Fola players before hitting the net; 2:0 before half time and Dinamo was in the next round. In the second half Fola tried to play more offensive which opened more space in the back line so it was only a matter of time when will Dinamo extend the lead.
After several chances in the 74th minute it was 3:0. Rog, who entered the game 15 minutes earlier, got a brilliant pass from Pjaca on the left side of the box and placed the ball in the near corner. This was Rog's first official Dinamo goal since his arrival about a month ago. Until the end of the game Modri could have extended the lead but 3:0 was more than enough.
With a 3:0 win on aggregate Dinamo qualified for the next round where they will play against Molde. First leg is scheduled for 28th of July in Zagreb.
