Maybe some of the following will help you:
A solid defender who primarily operates as a centre-back, occasionally also in the position of a defensive midfielder, and with his height should bring quality in aerial duels... This is roughly the football profile of Dinamo's new defender: talented Spanish centre-back, 22-year-old Raul Torrente, has signed a multi-year contract with the club from Maksimir.
In Dinamo's history, only one Spanish footballer has played for the Blues in official matches - the masterful Dani Olmo. Of course, we are not counting Alex Oliveira, former player of Villarreal and Dinamo, a Brazilian who also acquired Spanish citizenship.
Torrente was born on September 11, 2001 in San Javier, a suburb of Murcia, and made his senior football debut at the age of 16 in his hometown club Racing Cartagena Man Menor. Soon after, at just under 17, he moved to Granada.
Initially playing for the youth team, he made his first-team debut in the fall of 2021 in a season where they, for example, defeated Atletico and drew against Barcelona... However, Torrente suffered an injury in mid-April 2022 and was sidelined for eight months. He made a full recovery in the past season.
During this time, he also earned a cap for the youth national team while being coached by Luis de la Fuente, the current manager of the A national team.
- I would like to express great satisfaction that I have become a new member of Dinamo. I have heard only the best about the club, and as a footballer who has played in Spain in my career so far, I know that they have defeated Villarreal, Sevilla in European competitions, and last season they also eliminated Betis. Many players have achieved notable successes here, later becoming national team players and recognized international stars, so I hope to follow in their footsteps. I am also aware of their passionate fans, and my first goal will be to justify their trust, as well as the trust of the Management who enabled my arrival at Maksimir. See you on the field, Raul said after signing the contract.
Dear Raul, welcome to Dinamo!
