This week, six Dinamo footballers will join their national teams in the upcoming World Cup qualifying matches for the A national teams and for the U-21 European Championship, as well as for friendly matches of the U-18 team.
Arbër Hoxha and Scott McKenna are in the senior national team squad, while in the U-21 team, Matteo Perez Vinlöf, Moreno Živković and Fran Topić will compete, and Leon Jakirović will play for the U-18 team.
The coach of the Croatian U-21 national team, Ivica Olić, has called up Živković and Topić for the match against Ukraine on October 14 in Velika Gorica in the European Championship qualifiers. Croatia opened this cycle with a draw in Turkey, 1:1, while Ukraine started with a 4-0 victory over Lithuania away.
Jakirović will play in three friendly matches of the U-18 national team in Poreč from October 8 to 13 against Ukraine, Sweden, and Wales.
Dinamo's defender McKenna is on the list of Scotland national team coach Steve Clarke for the World Cup qualifying matches. Scotland will host Greece at their Hampden Park on October 9 and Belarus three days later in two consecutive matches. After two rounds, Scotland has four points, the same as the first-placed Denmark. Greece is in third place with three points.
The coach of the Albanian national team, Brazilian Sylvinho, has called up Hoxha for the match against Serbia in Leskovac on October 11 in the World Cup qualifiers, as well as for a friendly match scheduled three days later in Tirana against Jordan. Albania is in second place in the group, having earned eight points in five matches, seven less than the leading England, which has a perfect record. Serbia is in third place with one point less and one game less played than Albania.
Perez Vinlöf is in the frame of the coach of the Swedish U-21 national team, Daniel Bäckström, for the matches in the European Championship qualifiers against Italy away on October 10 and against Poland at home four days later. In the first two rounds played so far, Sweden has recorded a win and a loss.
