GNK Dinamo won 3-1 versus HNK Rijeka in a derby match of Round 14. With this victory, Dinamo has nine points margin ahead of last year champions!

Head coach Mario Cvitanović decided to change formation to 4-3-2-1 with Olmo and Gojak as attacking midfielders and Hilal Soudani as a lone striker. This proved to be vital for a match in which Dinamo dominated and created numerous chances.

However, guests from Rijeka took the lead after 9 minutes with a first danger attack. In a dubious situation, where officials first disallowed and later allowed the goal, Acosty managed to send the ball into the net. The 'Plavi' equalized after half an hour of play when Soudani created a chance for Ademi whose shot was blocked by goalkeeper Sluga. However, ball reflected to Nikola Moro who sent the ball into the top left corner for 1-1.

Early in the second half, Dinamo took the lead after Olmo's corner kick, Rrahmani assist and Soudani overhead kick! In 79 minute Algerian international scored another goal after Dani Olmo through ball. That was Soudani 13th goal in 13 appearances against Rijeka.

After three derby games, Dinamo now awaits for a Cup match v NK Novigrad and away match in Koprivnica against Slaven Belupo on Sunday, November 5.
