Victory to conclude a great season; Dinamo won the triple!

Dinamo Zagreb got another victory in the second leg of the Cup final in Varaždin and manage to complete an exquisite accomplishment: the triple! Dinamo opened the season with winning the Supercup, secured the Championship a couple of rounds before it ended and won the Cup against Varaždin.

Dinamo won the Croatian Cup! Dinamo players showed once againt that they are a better team than Varaždin and with a 3:1 win in the second leg won the Cup by 8:2 on aggregate. Varaždin opened the game in their stadium with a goal but Dinamo got three in the second half and secured another victory.

Things looked very good for Samir Toplak's side when they got the lead after just 6. minutes. Šafarić made the cross from the set pieces and the ball passed through the crowded area and went into to net. Of course, Varaždin players and supporters couldn't think of a better way to start the game but Dinamo didn't allow more than that.

Dinamo was better in the first half but didn't manage to score the goal that would actually seal the deal. Modri entered the second half eagerly to score as quickly as possible and they did. In the 62. minute of the game, Ibanez scored directly from a free kick and made it 1:1. Varaždin had an excellent chance to take the lead again just four minutes after that but when Kelava made a great save and blocked a shot from Filip Škvorc it was obvious that Dinamo will win the Cup.

Things got even better for Dinamo when captain Badelj scored after a pass from Tomečak in the 70. minute. Varaždin players could't keep up with the guests and Beqiraj finished the game in the 82. minute when he made it 1:3.

This is the last game of the season 2010./2011. in which Dinamo secured an amazing triple: Supercup, Championship and Cup. What else is left to say than to congratulate the players on an amazing season!
