In the 7th round of the MAXtv Prva liga Dinamo beat Lokomotiva for the sixth season victory and to round up the fantastic August! Dinamo took the lead when Ante Rukavina scored after 16 minutes and Domagoj Vida doubled the lead five minutes later only for Andrej Kramarić to score for Lokomotiva but second half goal from Sammir gave Dinamo another victory.

Ahead of the first national team break, Dinamo played against one of the teams that showed some great football this season - Lokomotiva. Youngsters from who a lot are on loan from Dinamo certainly had a lot to prove in this match but so did Dinamo players; and they did exactly that. Coach Ante Čačić picked a very offensive team, with only Calello as defensive midfielder and five offensive players who gave Dinamo possession and control of the game.

Dinamo dominated and circled around Lokomotiva's defensive line and after 16 minutes, basically from the first chance of the game, took the lead. Beqiraj gave a brilliant pass for Rukavina who rushed into the box and placed the ball beside Lovrić. Five minutes later - Dinamo doubled the lead. Ibanez made a cross from a free kick, Vida jumped and scored a beautiful header for 2:0 lead after only 21 minutes.

Despite the fact being two goal down, Lokomotiva didn't give up but Dinamo was the one creating chances. Still, Lokomotiva was the next to score after Kramarić was brought down in the box and himself very nicely, "Panenka style", converted from the penalty spot. Modri tried to get two goal advantage back but Šimunić's nice try after a corner kick was saved by Lovrić.

At the opening of the second half it was Antolić who placed a brilliant shot that ended in the bar but Ibanez was even more accurate and he scored in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, his excellent free kick goal was disallowed because of the raised flag from the assistant despite the fact nobody really knew the reason for such a call: offside or foul - it was neither.

Anyway, after Samateh ended a nice run with a shot in the 67th minute of the game it was Sammir who did everything to decide the winner. Dinamo playmaker rushed to the box, Mesarić tackled him and referee pointed to the spot from where Sammir made it 3:1.

Until the end of the game it was Dinamo who made couple of chances, the best was when Krstanović came in front of Lovrić, but the final result stayed 3:1.

It was an impressive month in which Dinamo qualified for the group stage of the Champions league and still managed to win all domestic games; fantastic August and all the credit goes to the coaching staff and the players! Well done!
