Dinamo U19 team head coach Mario Cvitanović made a statement after UEFA opened the case against Dinamo:
- We don't want to think about a suspension because of an administrative mistake. We are sure we will play the UEFA Youth league quarter-final match against Barcelona in front of thousands Dinamo fans here at Maksimir stadium. We are aware of this huge mistake and we will need to face a financial or some other kind of ban for that. I think it is a huge mistake to punish young players who have shown their talent and quality on the pitch. It is not in the spirit of sport and in the spirit of all other values UEFA is promoting. Dinamo deserved to be in the UEFA Youth league quarterfinals, we deserve to play against Barcelona and we all believe UEFA will recognize that suspending the team that has shown a quality on the pitch due to an administrative mistake is not in the spirit of sport. I think that this suspension would be a completely wrong decision and it would be a wrong message for all youngsters in sports.
The same opinion has young player Filip Benković who was a team captain in Brussels: - We've shown on the pitch that we are a better team, we played a quality game against Anderlecht and we deserve to be in the quarter-final. This generation is one of the best in the history, we won a lot of trophies in domestic and international tournaments. We are all national team players also and this UYL quarter-final game against Barcelona would be a crown for us. That is what we are all dreaming about and we don't want to think about another solution.
