After a victory in Opatija, Dinamo won another friendly match; this time in Slavonski Brod. Marsonia was no match for the Croatian champions and Dinamo took the victory thanks to two goals from Krstanović and one from Leko.
Even though Dinamo traveled to Slavonski Brod without players who are on international duty, the squad that coach Krunoslav Jurčić sent to the field was very respectable. Because of the lack of full backs, midfielders Leko and Pokrivač covered that positions, Tonel and Cufre played in the centre of defence, Calello and Palić were defensive midfielders while Morales and Tomečak played in front of them; attacking duo were Krstanović and Rukavina.
Off course, Modri took control of the game from the start and the first couple of threats came from Morales but Zogović was concentrated. Marsonia played good defense and managed to keep a clean sheet for more than half an hour but then Dinamo finally scored. Palić made a nice cross to the centre of the box where Krstanović was at the right place and Dinamo took the lead.
Dinamo was the team that controlled the game but the home fans were the ones who celebrated in the end of the first half. In the final minute of the first 45 minutes Olić ran through Dinamo defensive line and with a lot of luck on his side managed to score the equaliser. Dinamo instantly had a chance to once again take the lead but Tomečak's attempt ended over the goal.
Modri entered decisively into the second half and in just ten minutes scored two times. Leko started the action which included Morales, Tomečak and Krstanović before eventually the ball once again came to Leko who placed a great shot in the upper corner of the net. Two minutes later, in the 54. minute, Kramarić was brought down in the penalty box and Krstanović was calm enough to make it 3:1.
Dinamo had several more chances to score but the final result was made in the 54th minute. The closest to scoring Dinamo came when Kramarić's cross found Tomečak but Dinamo's captain attempt wasn't accurate enough. One more important thing from this match was the entrance of our youngers - Marotti, Karamatić, Špehar and Mikulić.
This was the last friendly match scheduled for this international break. Modri will now turn to training sessions and the next match is the one on Friday, 14.10., in Zadar.
