Dinamo played the Championship match against Lučko and won 1-0. The striker for Dinamo was Mario Šitum and Krunoslav Jurčić's team has continued a winning streak in the domestic league.
Coach Krunoslav Jurčić decided to make some changes in the squad today. Nikola Pokrivač and Filip Lončarić played from the first minute and the attacking duo were Rukavina and Krstanović. Jurčić decided to rest Kelava who was on the goal from the beginning of this season.
Nikola Pokrivač made his debut in the match with Lučko and he played from the first minute. The new/old Dinamo's player started as a defensive midfielder and after Cufre got injured Pokrivač played on the left side.
From the beginning of the match neither team had serious chances to score, but the game took place on the Lučko's half. Dinamo took the lead in the 28th minute after an excellent action. Pokrivač successfully ran on the left side behind the opponent players and found Cufre near him. Cufre sent the ball to the top of the penalty area where Vida dropped the ball with the chest in front of Šitum. Young player sent the ball with his head in the right corner of Kovačić's net.
After Cufre got injured, Dinamo's captain became young Mateo Kovačić. With only 17 years and 3 months Kovačić became the youngest captain in the club history.
Dinamo played calm in the second half, but Lučko was trying to score from counter-attacks. Despite several good opportunities the visiting team failed to score. The game was slightly decreased in the second part, but we must mention the great Dinamo's defense. The most notable was certainly Vida who has showed a great game today. At the one point, the audience clapped every time Vida has touched the ball. The biggest Lučko's opportunity was in the 60th minute when Fuček, who has just entered the game, sent the ball over Lončarić but the ball luckily hit the beam. Dinamo answered by Fatos Beqiraj who strongly hit the crossbar with his head kick after a corner. Unfortunately, Beqiraj failed to score today.
Filip Lončarić was the goalkeeper in the match against Lučko. It was his first official appearance after he got injured his knee in the match with Hajduk last season.
Before the end of the match Dinamo had few good chances. Pokrivač sent the ball to Sylvestr who failed to score. Even he had the great position in front of the goalkeeper Kovačić, he sent the ball away from the goal. In the overtime Fuček had the opportunity to tie the score, but Lončarić got the ball and kept Dinamo's goal safe.
Dinamo won 1:0 against Lučko and they achieved another victory in a row. After six rounds Dinamo holds the first place and has 18 points. Due to commitments in the Croatian national team players have a break of two weeks.
