Zdravko Mamić about the 1998 generation

Dinamo's executive director Zdravko Mamić held a press conference in order to point out some current events. There is no doubt that one of the most important things is U-17 national team's succcess on the World Cup in Chile. Dinamo had 12 talented players in the national team jersey and here is what the executive president thinks about that.

- I would like to thank young players for great achievements in 2015. They won the double, finished Eueopean championship as the 5th team without a defeat and they've reached the World Cup quarterfinals few days ago. They are among eight best U-17 national teams in the world. That generation won the Croatian championship last season without a defeat in 30 games and with an impressive goal-difference 100:15. Besides that, they won the Croatian cup. Those players born in 1998 were also champions of the unofficial World Cup - Nike Premier Cup in Manchester few years ago. They are our future and we will do everything to keep them. They have a huge respect and they really deserve it. I would like to thank their parents who raised them and we are thankful to every coach they've been working with till now - 

What are the club's future plans for young players? - We would like to change Dinamo in a way that we have as much as possible players from the club's Youth academy in the first team. We want to have a team full of homegrown players. We will organize a meeting with their parents because we want them to know everything about club's vision and future goals. We will do our best to keep those players in Dinamo and to achieve one of our goals - 15 young players in the first team. We are enjoying good times and the whole world is talking about Dinamo and Croatia.

- This generation has 20 players with a huge quality and potential and they could be the first team players someday. Of course, there are still many factors, but we will do everything and give everything for this generation. We would like them to feel as Real Madrid's players and their job is only to train hard and stay focused on their job.

Dinamo U19 team is participating in the UEFA Youth league this season: - While those 12 players were with the national team on a World Cup, their teammates are competing in the UEFA Youth league. They are bravely walking through the group stage side by side with great Arsenal, Olympiacos and Bayern. Due to their great performance - two wins, one draw and only one defeat, they have a great chance to secure the UYL next stage.

After the first part of the press conference, Mamić has sent out a message to Dinamo fans: - I can promise you that Dinamo will have a positive run till the end of the championship and we won't have a single defeat. Also, we will come back to the first place in the national league and win the 11th title in a row. That is the main request for our players and I believe in them because of their enormous quality.

- I would like to thank all the fans for their support. We are all participating in a nice story that has started in the end of the last season when we had 45 thousand fans at Maksimir during the last three games. That story continued this season - in the Champions league qualifiers and in the group stage - said Mamić adding: - I will never forget a moment at Allianz Arena when 5 thousand Dinamo fans outvoiced 70 thousand Bayern fans.
